Sunday 26th April saw Lowsalt, Ane Østrem and Jen Sykes hold a closing event showing what they had got up to in the container over the week. Pimms and cake were on hand to combat the rain.
On Saturday 18th Lowsalt Gallery and Will Foster held an exhibiton in two shipping containers in Glasgow Sculpture Studio's carpark. The Bottom container was being given away for 1 week to successful interviewees. Ane Østrem and I were the successful ones and grabbed ourselves a container for a week.
On Saturday 18th April Sheep Show opened with a bbq in the Hidden Gardens, Tramway, Glasgow. The Sheep Show film was installed in the shed in the wildlife area of the garden and the accompanying sound played across the garden.
Whilst on the Black Isle for a week three artists and I tried to teach sheep some of our skills. They were hard pupils and easily distracted but I think a few things made an impact.
Whilst spending a week on the Black Isle I attempted to get a 3G mobile phone signal. 3G signal allows a mobile phone to go online and therefore if I could get the phone on the internet i could bluetooth it to my laptop and get internet on that as well. The signal gains strength with height, therefore in order for the mobile phone to gain height a box kite was constructed to contain the phone.
